This policy explains what personal data Food Basket Supermarket collects when you use this website, why, and what your rights are under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What we collect

• When you place an order: your name, phone number, delivery address, any notes you write, the products you order and your chosen payment method.
• Your location, only if you tap “Share my location” at checkout. It is used only to deliver your order.

We do not collect card or bank details. MB WAY payments are made in your own MB WAY app.

Why we use it

We use this data only to prepare, deliver and confirm your order, and to contact you about it. The legal basis is the performance of a contract with you (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legal obligations for accounting.

Who processes it

• Google Firebase stores order data for us.
• Netlify hosts this website.
• WhatsApp (Meta) receives your order message only if you choose to send it to us on WhatsApp.
• Google Maps shows our location on this site and may set its own cookies when the map loads.

We never sell your data or use it for advertising.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as Portuguese tax and accounting law requires. You can ask us to delete any data we are not legally required to keep.

Your browser

Your basket is saved in your own browser (local storage) so it is not lost if you leave the page. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive a copy of it. Contact us using the details above. You can also complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, CNPD (www.cnpd.pt).
